12 of 12 April 2009

I first saw this on Brian's blog and then went to Untitled Chad Darnell Project who started 12 of 12 .  So, here is April 2009's 12 of 12...

The Easter Bunny brought Chase an Easter Basket.

I replaced the light bulbs in the master bath with these CFB which are globe shaped for the vanity area.  When you first turn them on you can see the curly bulb inside until about 30 seconds later when they fully illuminate.

Sassy turned 11 on the 11th of April.  Today on the 12th she was all curled up on the bed so I had to wait for her to wake up before I could make it.  Cats sleep in the oddest positions.

We went to Skot's house for Easter dinner. Here is some of his family on the lanai.

This some of the food everyone made for Easter dinner.  I made Paska bread and Rutka which are traditional Eastern European Easter foods from my grandfather's side of my family (my dad's dad).  My grandmother taught my mother how to make them and she taught me and I we all have it every year.

We hid Easter Eggs for the kids to have an Easter egg hunt.  We had way too many and they just piled a bunch of them up in this plant.

It was such a pretty day I had to take a photo of the sky.

Pamela was there with her girls for dinner and the egg hunt.  She made a silly face which is not part of this month's 12 of 12.

Two of the eight kids hunting for eggs.

This is the gluten-free cake I made for Easter and the basket I made for Skot and Mike.

This is all the yummy but bad for you cakes and cookies.  I was stuffed when by the time this day ended.

I haven't seen those globe CFLs yet. Must investigate...

I think it's awesome that you've got the heritage cooking going on this year. This year I didn't get around to doing the annual Easter spanakopita, since Mom forbade me from bringing any food to dinner 'cos I'm recovering from recent surgery. This year, I just kind of had to enjoy being let off the hook!

    Nice 12!

    Hey Dan,
What a fun Easter you had!!! There's something magical about Easter cakes. Maybe it's because they rise, too.

    How's the job hunt going?
