Valentine's Day and Money
So I had this whole surprise weekend planned for Chase. We are going to Disney World for the weekend. Friday he gets off work early and I had taken 1/2 day off too. So we'll drive up to WDW where we'll be staying at the Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. Then that night go to Disney Quest in Downtown Disney. The next morning, the 14th we have breakfast reservations with Mickey and the gang. Then we'll walk over to Epcot and go on some rides and party around the world. I have dinner reservations in Tokyo. Then after the fireworks we head back to the hotel. I'm going to send him down to the lobby to get me something. When he comes back I have battery powered candles and a sweet wine and strawberries plus his Valentine's Day card. Then on Sunday we go to Magic Kingdom and then drive home.
It was supposed to be a surprise. I've never really been with someone on Valentine's Day before so I wanted to do something special for him. Well, then I got laid off. I mean the hotel alone is $420 for two nights and that was my discounted 1/2 off price. We get into the parks for free but there's the food and stuff and I have no money coming in. He knew we were going somewhere but not where or what. So when I got laid off he wanted to know where we wee going and all that stuff. We talked about it and decided we can afford to still go, I've already paid for hotel and he's going to pick up all the food and extras. Chase has a good job and he's in the medical field so he's a lot safer than I was. So we are still going away for our romantic weekend together. I'm glad we are going and I'm looking forward to it but the analytical side of me says we should not go and save the money. At least Sat night will still be a surprise too.

Oh my God, that's so romantic. What a great guy!
Well I'm in no position to give advice on your finances. But I do know the memories you'll create with this magical weekend will last forever.
