Making Amends
Thanks to the Internet I've just made contact with a man from my past. The very first and probably the only man I've ever loved. I wrote about him back in this post.
I found him on the Web but was not sure it was him. I sent him a message not knowing what to expect. Was it C? Will he remember me? Will he want to have contact with me? Well, the next day I got a message back and it was C. He said he was surprised and happy to hear from me. He wanted to know what has happened in my life since we last spoke some 14 years ago. I sent back a message, a few paragraphs with the short version of how I ended up in Florida, what's been going on, and so fourth. I had to get it out in the open that I was sorry for my behavior when we last saw each other. I asked that he too write back and tell me all about what he's been up to as well. I have him my real e-mail address and cell phone number.
It would be so cool if after all this time and over the distance (he still lives in the North) if we could reconnect and be friends. Whatever happens I am happy to have this opportunity.
