My condo on the Caribbean Sea in peaceful and beautiful Puerto Morelos, Mexico is right where the big red arrow points.


The good news is that the eye is heading far enough south of our area that we should only get Tropical Storm force winds.  The bad news is that being on the north side of the eye you get the onshore winds which means storm surge.  We will have to wait and see how bad that is.  I've been in contact with most of my friends there to make sure they are all prepped for the storm and have a plan to say safe.  I asked them to let me know as soon as they can after the storm that they are OK.  I will update later with what happens after the storm.  I'm just glad it's not Wilma all over which hit directly over my home in Mexico and here in Naples in 2005.
