I was contacted recently by an old friend I have not heard from in many years.  Right after high school and while going to college I worked at mass merchandiser that is no longer around.  I had a great friend there named Janette.  We'd all go out together all the time.

I had some wonderful times with her at this great little hole in the wall bar.  One night she called me and I was in bed.  She was like you gotta get down here now.  I said I was in bed and not coming out.  She called back and said she was going to get in a fight.  Now, I did not think so but it worked and I got out of bed, cleaned up, and went to the bar.  When I got there no fight was about to happen but my favorite drink was sitting there waiting for me.

So we've been e-mailing back an fourth and when I go home to Cleveland for Thanksgiving we're going to meet for coffee and catch up.

This is the first time I've reconnected with someone from my past thanks to the Internet.  I just thought it was really cool and I'm looking forward to seeing my old friend.
