I now have the spots of a dork and I will be shaving my chest and stomach to make them go away.  Today I had a capsule endoscopy.  I swallowed a pill that has a camera and lights in it.  It looks like this:


It moves through your digestive system and takes 2 photos of your insides every second.  Over 8 hours it sends back 57,000 photos to the senors attached to your body which are recorded in a pack you carry around.  It all looks like this:


This is all in an effort to check out the status of my small intestines to see how they are with my celiac disease.  The science behind this is so cool and very Fantastic Voyage like.

They forgot to tell me to shave so they could attached the 8 electrode sensors.  I'm not a very hairy guy but have a moderate amount on my chest and stomach.  So they had to shave spots where the electrodes were going.  Now I have these patches of missing hair and I look like a total dork that lost a bet with frat buddies.

I get the results to this latest test in a couple of weeks.
