In Hornor of Dorothy

So I had a really hard time picking out a tie this morning.  I never really put much thought into it but today was different.  I wanted a nice tie to wear to Dorothy's wake tonight.  Dorothy is my friend Michaels mother.  She was 87 so she had a wonderful and long life.  So I selected black slacks and a black jacket and a medium blue shirt.   I did not want a fun and happy tie but I did not want a really dark and depressing tie either.  So I went with a nice little paisley number.  Dark enough, sad enough, and yet just a touch of fun.

I did not really know Dorothy well.  I only met her twice in the 13 years that I've known Mike and Skot.  Mike and Skot are like extended family for me here so that is why I am driving 2 1/2 hours to go to the wake this evening.  I know it will mean something to them and their family that I care enough to go and show my support.

So this entry is in honor of the memory of Dorothy, mother of Michael and his siblings.
