Guardrails Up Guardrails Down

Over the past few months the State of Florida has been putting up all these guardrails along I-75.  The Naples Daily News said "Unfortunately, the guardrails installed in the Lee/Collier project, which cost $5.6 million, will be removed as part of the upcoming 30-mile widening of I-75 to six lanes. The widening will start this summer and wrap up in 2010.  Which leads us to the question: Is it wise to spend $5.6 million on guardrails only to tear them out a year later?"

OK, I wish I had some extra money in my pocket, maybe I would if my tax dollars did not pay for a bunch of guardrails to be installed only to be getting quotes for their removal as soon as they are put in.  HELLO!

Yeah, way to go State of Florida.
