I have to weigh in on American Idol.  I love the show.  I think it does great things for a lot of undiscovered talent.  I just can’t believe that Gina Glocksen when home tonight when there are people that should have gone first.  Gina did not have the best vocals but she was talented, different, she’s a rocker chick and reminds me of a young Chrisy Hind.


Of course there is Sanjaya Malakar who is terrible and should have gone home long ago but thanks to vote for the worst he is still here.  He does not sing well, he looks like an awkward dork, he’s just does not have it.  I believe in freedom of speech and vote for the worst has a legal right to exist but I think it’s really a sucky thing to do to these young people that really do use American Idol as a tool to advance their careers.

Any way… Phil Stacey is another one that should have gone before Gina.  He can’t sing and he is horrible to look at.  There is not a decent feature about his head that is appealing.  He has a big ears, big eyes, big mouth, and little talent.


Then there is Haley Scaranto.  She’s pretty but dresses like a hoe and sings just OK.  It’s got to be her skin revealing attire that keeps her in week after week.

Now who would I like to see in the final?  Blake Lewis and Malinda Doolittle without a doubt.  Blake because I can relate to his musical taste, he has selected songs and artists that I personally really like.  I think he sings well, is a good beat boxer, and is just cute.


Malinda is simply pure talent.  She has one hell of a voice and nails every performance.  American Idol winner or not, Malinda is going to do something with that talent.
