It Was A Blast -- Martini Party 2007

This years martini party was a wonderful success.  Everyone had a great time.  The two most popular martinis of the night were the Lemon Drop and the Coffeetini.  They all loved their gift bags.  I choose tote bags and baseball caps that fit each person, by personality, pets, or interest.  They told me I out did myself.  But this is most likely the last such party in Naples and in this house so I wanted it to be extra special.  Here's what the gift bas looked like:

The company from which I bought the LCD martini glasses sent me 50 free glow rods (to make bracelets or necklaces) with my order because I spent X amount of money.  It was so funny, we were like a bunch of little kids playing when them.

This morning, I made a good old fashion Southern breakfast for everyone.  I made bacon, eggs, fried potatoes, fried apples, biscuits, coffee, and juice.  We sat around and had a wonderful Sunday morning leisurely breakfast and laughed and talked even more.

Here is the most important thing about the annual martini party.  These are people I've been friends with for about 12 years.  Together, we've all been through all those things that life brings: marriages, divorces, illness, children being born, the loss of family members, etc.  We don't all see each other on a daily basis but we will always be there for each other.  Last night we all said how wonderful it is to have each other.  I am truly blessed and fortunate to have such special people in my life.
