The State of Florida has tons of specialty license plates for your car.  You pay an extra fee and the extra money goes to some type of charity or organization that sponsored the plate.  There are 18 plates that generate money for things like Save the Manatee, Save the Fish, Conserve Wildlife, and Preserve State Wild Flowers just to name a few.

I'm on my way home last night and I'm sitting at a light.  In front of me is one of those huge (as large as an apartment) SUVs that get like 10 MPG and spew greenhouse gases into the air.  Anyway it had the Florida State Wild Flower license plate.  This is a common occurrence here.  People in their Hummers and over sized environmentally destructive cars with their "save the environment" plates.  If they really gave a rat's ass they would not be driving those obscene vehicles.  So I find these to be license plates of hypocrisy.
