So a couple of weeks ago I made contact with a local guy via the on line dating service I started using.  We exchanged several e-mails.  He seemed really nice.  He seemed really interested.  We exchanged phone numbers and made tentative coffee date plans.  Then he dropped off the face of the planet.

We were going to try to get together last Friday but we both had things that might and did get in the way.  I was out of town all week this week but tonight was the night to meet.  So after he sent me his last e-mail with his phone number I never heard from him again.  I called him last weekend like I said I would and left a message.  So now it's been over a week and there have been no calls, e-mails, contact at all.  He has not been back on line to the dating service either.

Hey, I don't mind if things don't work out.  We have all been there.  But damn, what is up with the falling off the face of the planet thing? Be a freaking man and stand by your commitments or have the decency to break them off.  Would a voice or e-mail message be that hard?

Maybe I should just give up on men, love, sex?  I don't know.
