As seems to be the norm (for now) I worked today.  I am starting my 6th week in a row without a day off.  Anyway, it is one of those milestone birthdays for me.  Today I turned the dreaded 40.  Yes, the big 40.  My real celebration will begin in 11 days when I go to my condo in Mexico.  My mom, dad, aunt, uncle, and 2 cousins will all be there.  My cousin Sue and I are both turning 40 this month.  Our mom's (sisters) had us 26 days apart.

So on my way home from work I stopped at the Super Target (I love Target) to pick up food and drinks from Pam, Skot, and Mike as I invited them over for dinner, drinks, and cake to celebrate my birthday.  I got the best birthday present at target!  I was carded for the beer I was buying.  On the doom day of turning 40 I was carded.  Yes, me a 40 year old man carded.  I was so happy. 

Dinner and drinks were wonderful and I had a great time with my friends.  I am so lucky to have a such a great group of close friends!  Over all it was simply a great day.
