Chase After Your Dreams
I've been so tired that from my time in Lakeland that I have not been writing as often I would like. It's back to Lakeland tomorrow. Anyway...
I got a reminder last night that I need to stay true to myself and chase after my dreams. I went to Pamela's house as she had a few friends over. Our friend Cindy was there and I had not seen her quite some time. If anyone is a Survivor fan you will know Cindy from Survivor 11.
Being on Survivor was Cindy's dream. She applied to be on the show several times. Skot, Pam, and I worked with Cindy at the zoo. Skot and I helped Cindy make her Survivor video applications, we had the perfect backdrop of the zoo after-hours. Cindy never gave up on her dream of being a Survivor contestant. She would never give up until it either happened or the show was canceled. Her determination and ability to never loose sight of her dream is an inspiration to me. It reminds me to not be satisfied with anything other than what I want out of life.

I also got to wonderful compliments yesterday. I had to zip into Target on my way to Pamela's to pick up some dominos. We were all going to play dominos but Pamela took hers down to our condo and left them there. I ran into someone from the zoo and her one son is 8 years old and the other is 3. I just can't believe it's been that long and that I'm getting that much older. She told me how much I don't look like my age. Then Cindy who is 32 told me she thought we were the same age. While I'm 30-something it's up there. So that made me fee good.
