I worked all weekend so I did not get a chance to post.  I traveled from Naples to Lakeland to Tampa to Osprey to Lakeland to Tampa over the past 2 days.  Tomorrow I have some IT work to do at our Tampa store then it’s back to our corporate center in Ft Myers.  Looking forward to getting home and crawling into bed with my girls (Sassy the cat and Yuli the dog).   The next few months are going  to be hell as far as work goes.  Lots to get done and they’ve done a piss poor job of organizing.  Can’t move 2 warehouses and open a new store between now and Sept without a plan.

In between all of this I’ve been following the news on the Middle East.  I do wonder if the US can ever get their act together in regards to this entire situation.  I mean we’ve totally screwed up Iraq.  The President and his staff don’t know how to say “we made a mistake now let’s fix it”.  So, where will that lead us if we try to follow inoperable policies and apply them to the Israel and Lebanon situation?  Even if Dr. Rice is as smart as we are led to believe she is nothing more than a mouth piece for the spin machine of lies and ignorance that comes out of the White House.  I don’t know the answers to all the problems.  But I know when I see something at work that does not work, we change.  I’m not afraid to try something and the look at the results and say “hey, that did not work, I was wrong, lets do something else.”  Of course there is a lot more at stake (like the lives of our wonderful soldiers and lots of innocent civilians) and the future of some nations.  However, we already see all the mistakes we’ve made.  We can’t take those back, but we can make them right.  I just hope we don’t have to wait for the next administration for this to happen.
