Bam Bam

I went out Friday night (tonight) with Pamela and our friend Karen.  Last week Karen tried a new restaurant/bar (Bambusa/Bam Bam).  She said the food was good and it seemed to be filled with good-looking gay men.  Karen told Pamela that they should take me there.  We went and went into the bar, Bam Bam, first.  As we were walking to a bar table for cocktails I leaned into Pamela and asked her if we were in a gay bar?  The place had a mix of people but there seemed to be an abundance of attractive gay men.  She told me no.  As we chatted and checked out the view (there were a number of very attractive men around the bar) we asked Karen how she heard about this place.  She said there was a review in the local paper and the food got very good marks.  She said the paper said it was family friendly but there was no kids menu for her daughter.  Now I knew I was in bar for family.  Karen was unfamiliar with the gay slang meaning of the word family.  We had dinner and the food was excellent.  We are sure we will be going back soon.  After dinner we went downtown to my favorite place for drinks, doughnuts, music, and people watching.  We had a wonderful night, another night much needed.
