My friend and I were talking about religions a few months back when the whole Tom Cruise and Scientology thing was at its peek.  I decided to create my own religion, wineology.  In wineology you would go through the 12 steps of winemaking to cleanse your soul and move you to a higher plain of insight and intoxication.  Stage 1 is the Wine Press stage where your inner grape is discovered and your true spiritual juices are pressed for exploration.  Anyway… we mapped out this whole silly idea.

I started thinking about it more from an analytical view rather than the silly view.   I realize that Scientology (and wineology for that matter) is not actually a religion.  You see, they do the part where they suck you in… and wash your brain… and take your money, but where is the war and the violence?  How can you be a religion if you’re not willing to kill other people in order to force them to believe the same things you believe?  Wars, battles, conflicts, whatever you want to call them have killed more people in the name of religion than any other type of conflict in the history of man.  So you might be looking for that inner grape or to remove the alien souls from your body, but either way I guess you a lot better off than killing someone with a guised message of peace and love.
